I came across this great website that has Virgin America flight tickets up for auction. It is an experience package becuase celebrities will be attending this flight such as Richard Branson and others. You also get a one night hotel stay and tickets to Virgin America's exclusive launch party at Ruby Skye. Check out the site www.ebay.com/virginamerica

Comment on AirTran Airways Ejects 3 Year Old From Florida-Boston Flight, Banns Child For 24 Hours by Lynn A.

Everyone knows what other people ought to do until they're caught in the same situation. Kids are not a "one size fits all" proposition. I have 4 kids, all grown now and super people. My second child was a tantrum thrower and we had to curtail our restaurant eating until she was old enough to control herself. My husband and I were caught one time in an overfull BurgerKing in Lincoln, Nebraska. No place to sit, the bathrooms both had ling lines, both of us had our hands full with two of our other children when our second child, who was not potty-trained at the time, started yelling that she had to go to the bathroom. It isn't helpful to have a roomfull of people giving suggestions as to what you should do. Some said just give her what she wants to shut her up; others said to smack her mouth. The first was impossible given that she wasn't potty-trained and the long lines at the bathroom; and the second would have gotten me accused of child abuse, besides the fact that my hands were full. Finally a wonderful woman picked her up and carried her out to the car for me and the only comment she had was, "She's two, isn't she?" Yep, she was!

I agree that some kids are out of control, and parents do need to read books and/or take some classes, and try to be prepared for the unexpected. But, just because a 3 year old is throwing a tantrum doesn't mean that the parents don't respect others, or are overly indulgent parents, or aren't good parents. Three year olds do that. If they continue to do that past 4 or 5 years old, start worrying.

Not having been there and seen or heard the reactions of anyone involved, I can't say who was right or who was wrong. I do think it's strange that the airline said they don't differentiate between 3 and 33. I hope they understand the world of difference there is between a 3 year old who throws herself on the ground in a tantrum and a 33 year old who throws herself on the ground in a tantrum.

I believe that the Kuleszas could better have handled the situation, but not at that moment. I know that there are times where a small child han be difficult to restrain, and you don't want to harm them, but it seems like the family had not provided the right type of disipline liading up to her 3 years, and there's allways the possibility that when you try to buckle the belt, and you have to use two hands, and your husband is holding her feet with one hand and her hands with the other, and she spits on you, so you go to wipe your face, so she arches her bach, so your husband has to let go of one of her hands to get her back into the carseat....... ect. things can be difficult, and people know that, but it is not something that they should be kicked off for. They could take other measures, I for one have been on flights where the flight attendant actually helped to calm down my hungry and crying daughter, and she just offered crayons, or a drink, or peanuts, or a new book she hasen't read and there are many other options! nobody should have made a big stink about anything!

I came on here as I am feeling apprehensive about a flight that I am going to take with my daughter (almsot 3) from Newark to Los Angeles. I am sympathetic to the family in this story---I understand that Air Tran felt that they needed to remove the child for the safety of the other passengers, but I have to ask....how much damage can a 3 year old do? sure she will be annoying to listen to, but she sure isn't going to beat you up. As a parent of a "spirited child" I can say that I have delt with my share of tantrums..and those people that are there that think they are somehow "above the rest" when it comes to parenting because they had/have a perfect child are a lot harder to stomach than a 3 year old having a tantrum. I agree that one of the parents should have taken the child off the plane, but i do not agree with the fact that they were kicked off like some criminals and then not allowed to travel with them for 24 hours. That is just ridiculous. I am sure that there will be some sort of lawsuit against Air Tran and to be honest I hope that the parents win. BTW this turns out to be a good heads up for me as I was actually looking at Air Tran as one of our carriers for our trip--now I know to go elsewhere.

Conventional screen readers for the blind simply provide access to a computer and require the user to know just what computer they are going to be using so that they can get administrative rights to install the screen reader with it's associated video chaining or mirror driver. Serotek's System Access Mobile solution provides full screen reading capabilities Plus, without requiring the user to install anything on the computer. Todays fast paced lifestyles require that productive people have access to information and software on the go. This is not possible with any other product accept for System Access Mobile. System Access Mobile provides the blind user with productivity tools such as remote access to home and work computers, on the go access to web 2.0 services such as Microsoft's Live, Yahoo, and Google's online services, various blogging and podcasting tools, complete access to Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Adobe PDF documents, Internet, built in RSS reader, email, VOIP applications such as Skype, and instant messaging.
