The DC Night Out podcast is back again with a huge crowd at the M and S Grill.

Among those in the crowd and on the podcasts were
Milica Trpevska who has been visiting DC on a journalism internship from Masadonia from April-Aug 2009. Also visiting from PHX

The Geek News Central blog and podcast for its 500th show this week!

Tuesday May 17th, M And S Grill, Announcement/Agenda

Washington Night Out: Tuesday May 17

  • The BNO is renound for providing attendees, and once in a while even casual Evite readers, with insider tips you wont’ read elsewhere. If you plan
to attend the 2005 ACB National Convention you might think you must pay their proprietary $77
nightly room rate. However, if you book through internet sites like Vegas.com you can score these rooms for as little
as $49! But don’t tell too many people, or this will surely skew the official convention room booking process. Also you might want to read a book like
    Comp
City: A Guide To Free Las Vegas Vacations
to learn the ways of sin city.
  • Here’s one from Jeffrey Wilson out of Boston, another past BNO attendee. If you use the NFB Newsline service, you undoubtedly know that after login
you must repeatedly listen to a pre-recorded informational message. However, what you probably don’t know is that when the system says”to log in as (YourName)
    press 1,” if you press 11 very quickly, you will bypass the post-login informational messages;
  • And here’s one more from yours truly. Those of you in the DC metro area undoubtedly know that Independence Air has
drastically lowered your air fares. You have likely benefitted from FlyI even if you still fly the legacy big six airlines as they have forced air fares
down out of IAD and sometimes even DCA. Right now you can save an additional 20% off of FlyI’s low fares, through this exclusive Business
    Week Savings Offer.
Despite having a good reputation for customer service, FlyI needs your business now more than ever in its quest to merely survive
amidst a bad operating environment for airlines.
  • Recently I have also been intrigued by podcasting, and have been on the Blind Podcasting list. I am thinking of a BNO podcast, so be ready if I interview
you. I am thinking of a format, where after having a few drinks, we go around the table and just talk about some interesting thing on our minds.
  • Here’s one originally emailed by Peter! The 2005 ACB Online Convention Registration
is now available. This year the service is much improved, and among other features, let’s you save and come back to your form on the web

Looking forward to seing you. Here is the if you need it to RSVP.
